Bring your gear & goals
Any hope&plum carrier (new or pre-loved!) and a clear idea of what you want help with. Have your baby’s age and clothing size handy too.
Hands-free, torso visible
Prop your phone, laptop, or tablet so we can see your whole torso. A mirror nearby is a nice bonus so you can follow along.
Safe spot for baby
You won’t be holding them the whole time. Set up near a bouncer, playmat, or other safe surface so you can put baby down mid-call.
Back carry? Plan ahead
Set up near a soft surface like a bed or couch, or grab another adult to spot you. Safer for everyone, and easier for us to see what’s happening.

Do I have to own a hope&plum carrier?
Yes, these consults are for hope&plum carriers! But it absolutely doesn’t have to be new — secondhand counts, including anything you snag on our Preloved Marketplace. Brand-new, hand-me-down, yard-sale find, all welcome.
Is this really free?
Really, really free. We believe babywearing changes lives, and the only way you’ll keep doing it is if it actually works for your body. Free consults are how we make that happen.
How long is the consult?
15 minutes is the default, which is plenty for a fit check and questions. If you need more time, we’ll figure it out.
Can my partner join?
Absolutely, please bring them. We love a two-wearer household and the more hands that know how to do this, the better.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens. You’ll get a confirmation email with a reschedule link, no questions asked.
