Meet Our Artists

Every hope&plum print tells a story. Meet the talented artists who bring color, creativity, and heart to our carriers and wraps.

You may spot a few prints here that are no longer available. Once a design retires, it's usually gone for good. Only on rare occasions does one make its way back. We keep them on display to celebrate the artists who created them and the stories they tell.

Chrissie Van Hoever

Nuthatch Studio

Chrissie Van Hoever, the artist behind Nuthatch Studio, is a designer and illustrator based in Raleigh, North Carolina. She loves illustrating vibrant botanicals and whimsical creatures, as well as creating captivating patterns with cheerful color palettes. Her pattern, "Ghostly Gardens" was the perfect fit for our Hemlock print. It adds a mysterious twist to her favorite nature-inspired themes with hidden surprises. What appears to be a beautiful garden at first glance reveals creepy crawlies and carnivorous flowers upon closer inspection.

Mish Vizesi

Lovely People Studio

I've been in love with fashion for as long as I can remember. Coming from a family of crafters and sewers, I learned how to make my own clothes at a young age (and fancy dress... a lot of fancy dress). As a determined teen I started saving all my pennies, and flew to Paris when I was 16 to study fashion. The experience of a lifetime, I was lucky enough to be a part of Paris fashion week, and learn valuable skills from some wonderful couturiers. After returning to Australia to finish high school, I then completed a Cert III in Fashion Design at East Sydney TAFE (now Ultimo TAFE) and went on to do a BA Hons in Fashion and Textile Design at the University of Technology, Sydney, whilst also gaining experience working in the industry.

In the years that followed, I absorbed the world of fashion like a sponge- from the pattern room and production, graphic, textile and fashion design, all the way to art direction and everything inbetween. I have also seen the industry radically change in this time. From a once thriving local production scene, to the offshore manufacturing boom, and the unfortunate rise of fast fashion, I am now SO thrilled to see the focus turn to sustainable and ethical business.
